  • other information you provide directly to us such as your feedback, your personal preferences, troubleshooting, and other communications with you

We collect personal data directly from you in connection with a reservation. We also collect personal data about you through several other sources, which may include:

  • conversations with our team members
  • completion of registrations, requests, or applications for our products or services
  • communication with us directly (by email, telephone, direct mail, or any other means)

If we are unable to collect customer information:

  • we may be unable to provide products or services to you to the requested standard or at all

Cookies

Several features of our sites require that you accept cookies in order to work properly. A “cookie” is a set of data sent to your computer or mobile device by a web server that enables the server to recognize your computer or mobile device. As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, our sites may use cookies to store and sometimes track information about you.

We use cookies in order to optimize our marketing efforts as well as those of other third parties, with regard to advertising. These cookies may be shared with third parties such as advertising and social media networks, or other companies, in order for these entities to be able to yield more efficient use of available advertising inventory. For these purposes, the cookies are usually placed by the advertising networks and other media properties we work with. This functionality enables these entities to remember that you have visited our sites, and this information is then shared with third parties such as advertisers and data processing and targeting companies.

Cookies are also placed by other third parties, such as companies that track, measure and analyze various aspects of our website activity in order to help us customize and improve the website experience for visitors to our sites, and to provide other third parties with information about visitors to our sites to help optimize their marketing efforts.

By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies you will be unable to use those services of our sites that require registration in order to participate. Our sites may also collect IP addresses which can be used to correlate a cookie with your specific computer or device.

You can opt out of our advertising service provider(s) and other companies tracking cookies by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance currently located at: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the NAI currently located at: http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

How We Hold Your Personal Information

We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form.

If you provide information to us electronically we may retain this information in our computer systems and databases. This includes computer software programs, Internet servers, and hosted internet solutions provided by third parties.

If you provide information to us in hard copy (paper), this information may be retained in our files and a copy may be made to our electronic files.

Security

As you may be aware, there is no completely secure method of transmitting or storing data. We use industry standard security measures to safeguard and protect your information. This includes taking reasonable safeguards to protect your personal data from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

We try to strike a balance between the security of your personal data and your convenience. As a result, we may sometimes use a method of communication that is less secure than a less convenient alternative. For example, but not limitation, we may send you an e-mail or text message in an unencrypted form because many of our customers are unable to access encrypted (coded) e-mails or messages. This means that our message if misrouted or intercepted, could be read more easily than encrypted messages. For this reason, please do not include confidential information, such as your credit card number or account passwords, in any e-mail or text message you send to us or on any posting you make to a public area of a third party social network page, especially since any such posting immediately becomes public.

Uses and Disclosures of Your Personal Information

Your personal data will not be used in a way that is incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected or as authorized by you. We may share information about you with our affiliates in order to better serve you and to offer you worthwhile products and services.

By providing your personal data to us you consent to our use and disclosure of your personal data for the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, which may include disclosure of your data outside your country of residence.

Your personal information may be used and/or disclosed in connection with any purpose related to any of the following:

  • to provide you with customer assistance, including, but not limited to, assistance after you have initiated but not completed a reservation
  • for customer satisfaction and market research purposes and to otherwise help us improve our services
  • for legal-related purposes (if necessary), including, but not limited to, disclosures in connection with a lawsuit or legal investigation, court order, governmental inquiry, enforcement of legal rights (e.g., contract terms, intellectual property rights, etc.), fraud investigation, safety issue, or other similar matter
  1. Direct Marketing Uses and Disclosures

We may send you direct marketing communications and information about products and services offered. We may aggregate your personal data and use it to develop marketing programs and service offerings that we believe may be of interest to you. We will not charge you for such calls or texts. Your mobile service provider will charge you according to the applicable plan to which you subscribe.

Your personal data may be used for the above marketing purposes, although you can choose to limit or restrict our mailings and our share of your data for these uses by following the instructions below:

You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from us and our business partners at any time by responding via the channel in which you received the marketing communication, or by contacting us. We will not share your personal information with other companies for their marketing use unless you actively consent to such sharing. However, denying consent to information sharing may not prohibit sharing for non-marketing and operational purposes such as customer service or assisting with your requested services.

You can unsubscribe from emails from us by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the footer of the email communication you have received.

Although we aim to process your choices promptly, you may still receive marketing communications prepared before we received your request to unsubscribe. If you choose not to receive marketing messages from us, you may not be able to receive certain benefits, such as promotions.

We may also work with third-party companies that use their tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) on our websites in order to provide tailored advertisements on our behalf and on behalf of other advertisers across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your activity on our sites and your interaction with our advertising and other communications and use this information to determine which ads you see on third-party websites and applications. For more information about this practice and to understand your options including how to opt out of receiving these tailored advertisements, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI’s”) consumer opt-out page, currently located at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

We are permitted by law to share all the information we collect, as described above: (1) with companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, and (2) with other nonaffiliated third parties such as third parties that assist us with processing or collecting payments on your account. Please be advised that the preferences you express as described below will not apply to the sharing of information with these third parties.

Unless you request otherwise, we may share all the information we collect, as described above, with additional types of nonaffiliated third parties, such as firms that offer products and services of interest to our customers.

If you do not wish to receive such emails, mailings or telephone calls, you may request that we not share nonpublic personal information about you with nonaffiliated third parties by email to [email protected]. We will implement your request within a reasonable time after we receive it.
